Who We Are

Cherokee Monument Company

Matthew Schubert was raised in Cherokee, Iowa, graduating from Washington High School in 1997. Matt and his wife Julie purchased the Greenwood Funeral Home from Tim and Patty Greenwood in 2009, which is known today as Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home. The funeral home has been assisting families with selecting cemetery monuments and markers since 1953. In 2017, in an effort to better serve the Cherokee community and surrounding area, Matt established the Cherokee Monument Company located directly across the street from the funeral home. We are a full service monument shop from conceptual design to installation. With many years of experience we will assist you and your family with a lasting tribute to honor your loved one.
